“The Noah Monkeypod Series really is gorgeous. The sound is beautiful and the intonation is spot on right up the fretboard. If anyone asked me to recommend a uke, I’d certainly tell them to buy a Noah”.

This is a quality instrument at a very good price. I bought tenor monkeypod as a bit of a treat for myself and I love it. The finish is great, it came tuned (and has yet to go out of tune despite lots of play) and the setup is perfect. If you’re looking for a great uke at not too expensive (for whst you get) a price you can’t go far wrong. The service I received from Matt was first class and delivery was fast and well packaged. I can highly recommend this company and this instrument. I’m an enthusiastic beginner and this gorgeous instrument makes my practise sessions a joy.

These ukes are beautiful, they look gorgeous and have a deep, harp-like sweet sound. Definitely the best thing I’ve seen for this price. Got two monkey pod concerts, one acoustic and one electro-uke and I’m in love with both. Instruments with soul.

I bought a concert monkey pod at the first Grand Northern festival two years ago, and I have been pleased with both the construction and the sound it makes ever since. In fact the sound just gets more mellow as each year passes

I fell in love with my Monkeypod soprano uke the minute I picked it up. The feel of it oozes quality. The first chord I strummed acoustically rang out through the room with a depth of tone I’ve rarely heard from a soprano uke. The Fishman pick-up meant I could be sure of a great amplified sound. And it was. This little gem of an instrument has become an eve present on stage with me and has been admired every time people hear it. It came with Aquila strings which I love too. Next string change I’m going to try out Ken Middleton’s Living Waters strings. I have then on my a Kala tenor Uke and they make for a distinctly rich and powerful sound. By the way, Matt who sells these is a patient, attentive and knowledgeable guy. He made the buying process easy.

I picked my Monkeypod Tenor uke up at the ukulele festival of Great Britain. I spotted it sat on the Noah stall from which point forward it was speaking to me in a very faint voice saying “Buy me”. To be honest it didn’t need to as I think the decision had already been made. It was clearly beautifully put together and the sound when strumming it was outstanding. I am not a professional musician so I am not one to comment on intonation up and down the neck etc but it sounded rick compared to my old uke. Matt was great and told me the history behind his company and how it was named. Needless to say Noah is lucky to have a Dad like Matt. If you are thinking about buying one of these lovely instruments, don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it.

I met Matt at a local ukulele group where he was selling his ukes. At that time I thought my laminated wood uke was fine but have been pondering whether to buy a Noah ever since. Today I bought a Noah monkeypod concert uke with Fishman preamp after having another brand for a few months. These are quality instruments which are really worth the money. They also sound beautiful and look impressive. Had I known about Noahs before I bought my first uke I would have definitely bought one.

Monkeypod concert Electro Cutaway, I love it, it’s everything I hoped for because I bought it direct from Matt’s website. I based the purchase on reviews from youtube etc. Yes I was a bit apprehensive, but Matt was easy to deal with via email and he even gives you a couple of weeks to make your mind up or your money back! how cool is that. And the uke itself? apart from the the Quality, Value for Money and all the rest, the neck just feels so comfortable to me it just asks to be played again and again, so Well Done Noah Ukuleles!.

Bought my Noah Monkeypod Tenor from Matt when he came to see us at Balham Ukulele Society in late 2014. I continue to be blown away by it. Good build quality, wonderful tone and loudness, and with a wonderful low and easy action. Will be back for the electro-acoustic when I have saved up my pennies.

I bought my Noah at the GSUF in October 2015 and it’s beautiful. Matt was really helpful and answered all my questions about it. It was in tune when I bought it and it’s still in tune; something I’ve not experienced with my other ukes. It plays like a bird and is very sweet sounding, so much so that I am intending to use it for my Ukulele Grade 2 exam in a month. Well done for producing such a great ukulele. By the way, it looks stunning too!

I bought a Monkeypod concert size ukulele and haven’t been able to put it down since. This instrument oozes quality regarding looks and sound/tone and it came with Aquila strings and a top quality padded gig bag( better than most gig bags out there on the market) the Uke has a lovely warm tone and good volume. I tried living water strings on the Uke and it increased the tonal qualities and volume without being detrimental to the already great sound/tone. It certainly is great value for money and worth every penny….I mean a hand crafted uke of quality for this price – you can not lose! The customer service Matt provides selling his product is equal to this fantastic uke, Matt answered all questions promptly and gives excellent customer service and after care to a level that is seldom found these days. I am one very happy customer and I shall be returning in the near future for a electro/acoustic model.

I bought a Monkeypod soprano for my daughter for her 25th birthday and she is delighted with it. It looks stunning and has a beautiful bright sound. I researched ukes for a long time before settling on a Noah Monkeypodand it was definitely the right choice.

My little Monkeypod Soprano was born in April 2016 and found her way to me a week ago, we are now inseparable! I set my heart on this one, purely from all the excellent reviews given. I can only repeat what everyone else has said; this is a superb instrument. Thank you Matt and thank you Tan for your excellent workmanship.

I’ve had my Noah Monkeypod Concert Electro Cutaway for a year now, it’s the only one in my collection that i would not part with, end of story. Oh except for one thing, please make an 8 string soon.

Got my Monkeypod soprano in the post this week. I don’t usually buy instruments without playing them first, but I read all the reviews and decided I would give one a go. So glad I did. It’s beautifully crafted, lovely to hold and makes such a sweet, pure sound, even in my none too skilled hands. It oozes quality. Thank you Matt, I am certain that it will help me to improve my playing. It’s a complete joy.

Great chatting with Matt before receiving my concert sized Monkeypod… Excellent customer service, an enthusiastic owner and I love the Noah Ukeleles back-story…However, onto the main reason to the review…the Noah ukulele itself….. I love it! It looks fantastic with the wood grain looking sweet on front and back. It is well made and clearly done by hand so it isn’t a machined robot but rather a beautifully handcrafted instrument that shows this. It has a wonderful tone – not the loudest ukelele around but a good sound and one that is getting better and will do doubt continue to do so over the many years I intend to play it.. It arrived with a well balanced action and It holds its tune incredibly well. I have it on an equally wonderful Cooperstand not far from my armchair and just love looking at it….. As I told Matt, for me instruments are not just about the wood or the way they are made or the strings or the action or the workshop and country of origin or the story – they are about the sum total of all of that and I like buying instruments that have a certain character on all of those fronts. That is why I chose a Noah Monkeypod ukelele…..great looks, lovely wood, handcrafted, great story, small workshops in Vietnam with a strong partnership between Matt and them and importantly a good sound….. Thanks Matt and I wish Noah ukeleles every success.

I’ve only had my Monkeypod Concert Uke for a week or so now, but am already loving it! Such a bright, full, open tone. It feels really nice, too. I got the satin finish and it looks absolutely lovely with the beautiful Monkeypod grain patterns. Matt was really helpful in getting the ukulele shipped to a friend’s place in France (I live in Switzerland) and also accommodated me in other ways as well, which I am grateful for – thanks, Matt! I don’t think you can beat one of these ukuleles in terms of value for money. It’s a solid, beautiful, lovely sounding, hand-made instrument at an almost unbelievable price. Very happy with my ukulele!!
